Saltwater Taffy

Some of the best summer memories are the simplest ones.

This artwork was inspired by a magical summer trip my son and I took along the Connecticut shoreline in 2019. We spent the afternoon riding our bikes beside the water, through beautiful parks and quiet seaside neighborhoods, before stopping at a charming old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop.

Inside were rows of colorful saltwater taffy, giant lollipops, homemade treats, and soft-serve ice cream that seemed even sweeter after a long bike ride. We filled little bags with candy, laughed over melting ice cream cones, and ended the day carrying home far more lollipops than we probably needed.

This puzzle is a celebration of those carefree coastal afternoons…the kind where time slows down, the ocean breeze follows you everywhere, and the sweetest memories are made one stop at a time.
